A Graduate of UC Davis.
Dr. Tanaka practiced Veterinary medicine in the Bay area for 5 years at a multi-doctor practice, while also working at the Oakland Animal Shelter. He then moved to San Diego from the Bay area & traveled weekly to L.A. to complete his surgical residency. Missing San Diego he continued to commute until he finally decided to settle in Encinitas and start a family.
Jennifer B.Practice Manager
Jenny is very recent 'implant' to San Diego. She moved here from Indiana to be with her husband, who is in the U.S. Navy. She has always loved animals, with previous work experience at both animal shelters and veterinary hospitals. She has two large breed dogs, both of which are her most adored fur babies! Jenny B. has an affinity for penguins, tigers and dolphins to name a few. In her spare time, she enjoys hanging out with her dogs, reading, exploring SoCal, and spending time with her husband.
Jennifer H.,R.V.T.Lead Technician
Jennifer got a taste for animal medicine back in the early 2000's when she worked for Dr. Gee for just over three years. This is where she realized her passion for animal health. Since then she has received her college degree in Animal Health Technology from Mesa College and RVT license. Jennifer is the lead technician and dental hygienist here at the clinic and is happy to have the opportunity to work with you and your pet . She is married with an adorable 7 year old son named Chancelor and a rambunctious little girl, Skyler, who was born September 2017. Also gracing her home are two kitties, Elvis and Priscilla, a rescue pup named Ace and a bearded dragon named Charlie. She loves to cook, host get-together's and spend quality time with her family.

Jennifer has moved back to Southern California from Indiana. She has been working in the veterinary field for about 10 years. Prior to working in animal health, Jennifer was in the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed on Camp Pendleton. Jennifer still likes to be physically active, so you may see her running down the road.
Boris A.Veterinary Assistant
Boris has worked at Santa Fe Animal Clinic since he was 16 years old. He is wonderful with the animals, and is our go to guy when something needs fixing! He is currently attending college working on his general education, hoping to have a career in computers. He loves to go hiking and camping. He is also an awesome big brother to his two younger sisters and 3 dogs.
Alexis H.Veterinary Assistant
Alexis was born and raised in SoCal, and has always had a passion for animals ever since she was little. One of her earliest memories was being called into the principal's office in preschool to catch an alligator lizard that all the boys were afraid of. She grew up with a house full of animals, including snakes, bunnies, hedgehogs, rats, frogs, lizards, saltwater fish, and of course cats and dogs. She has done everything from bathing dogs, to snake handling, and has been a veterinary assistant since 2016. In her spare time she loves to BBQ for friends and family, gardening, and exploring San Diego - always down for a road trip.
Breanne W.Veterinary Assistant
Breanne was born and raised in Southern California. Her love for animals started as soon as she could stand. She would rock her crib to the window to see the cows be brought in for milking and would help doctor them with her grandfather. She has been a veterinary assistant for 13 years and is a mom to a 16 year old, 4 year old and 2 year old.
Autumn has lived in Southern California for two years now, after moving from Michigan when her husband was stationed at Camp Pendleton. She has loved animals since she was very young. She grew up having dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rats, and bunnies. She is an aspiring veterinarian and hopes to attend vet school in the future. In her spare time she loves to go to the beach, explore SoCal with her husband, and spend quality time with her dog - Prince.
